I will be giving a figurative collage workshop at Artists' Workshop February 7/8, 2009. The title of the workshop is Paper Painting: Works in Collage. To promote this workshop, there will be a demo on January 7, at 7:00pm at the Artists' Workshop. This demo will last about an hour and a half. If anyone has any trouble with the contacts I have given for the workshops, let me know. I look forward to having a lot of time at the Artists Workshop in New Smyrna Beach. I plan to do some demonstration on how to pattern and tint your own papers before you even start collage! This is yet another step that makes my work more unique and adds a personal touch. Anyone interested in attending should start collecting old books, personal memorabilia, newspaper, magazines, their kids' homework, wallpaper books. And get some Speedball carving pads and carving tool to create your own stamps for patterning.
