in Addition To Art

Another thing I like to do in my free time is play the violin. I have been playing since I was in the third grade at Moseley Elementary School in Massachusetts.

This is where the idea of my "Music" themed solo show came from. The town where the art center is: Maitland Art Center, is also the town with the symphony I play in: The Maitland Symphony Orchestra, so the tie-in seemed fitting.... Art and Music.

We have our annual Spring Concert coming up next weekend!

For any of my followers who live near Maitland, Fl Here are the details:
Maitland Symphony Orchestra
Sponsored by the Performing Arts of Maitland
Presents
Constellations - Far Away Places and Rising Stars
May 16th at 7:30pm (doors @7pm)
First Presbyterian Church of Maitland

See you there, I'll be playing my heart out in the second violin section!

  1. Sandy's right. You are not only talented, a mother of 2 active kids, working full time at your own design business, play the violin, participate in triathlons, teach and make art, but you have unlimited energy, perhaps because you work so hard on fitness. I'm amazed.

  2. Well, I'm kind of an overaciever, which isn't always a good thing. I often commit to more than I can handle. It usually works out in the end though!

  3. Wish I could come to hear you!
My sister and my mother (see my blog today) both played the violin and so violins were in my home growing up! One of my grandsons now plays the viola. Which has a lovely mellow tone! I loved the photo of you playing it as a child. Happy Mother's Day Elizabeth!
