I volunteer at my local elementary school teaching art in a PTA sponsored program, once a month. Every year I go in and teach six fifth grade classes the art collage and talk about being a professional working artist today.
I show them my work, talk about my education and experience and then let them try their hand at collage.

I teach art masterpiece for my daughters 6th grade class. It is so much fun watching the kids use their imagination, and seeing their creations don't you think?

I love watching what they come up with, especially when asked to fit a theme! Yes, I love the heart collage too, she needed a LOT OF PINK paper, even had to take some home to finish!
